Durex Pleasure Ring for Premature Ejaculation Review

Durex Pleasure Ring Overview
There are many different ways to approach the problem of premature ejaculation. While most of them center around using numbing agents to help desensitize the penis, resulting in longer-lasting erections, some men prefer a mechanical approach. One of these, often referred to as a "cock ring", helps keep you going in the bedroom by trapping blood inside your erect penis. Durex, a popular manufacturer of condoms and other sexual aids, has their own cock ring which we will take a look at below.

What is the Durex Pleasure Ring?
The Durex Pleasure Ring is a soft, stretchy cock ring which is somewhat reusable (the package says up to six times). The box claims “intense pleasure for longer”. The instructions explicitly state it can be worn for a maximum of 30 minutes before you must remove the ring. Otherwise, you risk damage to your penis.
My Experience
I went ahead and gave the the Durex Pleasure Ring a shot. For the most part, it worked as advertised, but it was ultimately upsetting because it felt really tight and uncomfortable on me and I was thinking about the 30-minute time limit and how much longer I had left the whole time, which made the experience less enjoyable than sex should be. If you are struggling with PE, then you know that you want your head to be as clear as possible because stressing and worrying about things like this just adds to performance anxiety real quick. Unfortunately, that’s what I experienced and it created a not-so-enjoyable time for me or my girl. By the time I took it off after the first use, I could see tiny little tears in the material, so I get why the instructions say to throw it away after only 6 uses. The both of us were also really disappointed when we were ready for round 2, but then realized the box said we had to wait an entire hour before it was safe for me to put it on again.
Durex Pleasure Ring Side Effects
Durex claims that you shouldn't experience any side effects if you follow the directions and usage precautions. However, based on my experience, the fact that the Durex Pleasure Ring only comes in one size means that men with enough girth will have difficulties. You may experience discomfort, pain, or bruising from using the ring. If the ring is too narrow for you, it might be difficult to remove without damaging the ring, your penis, or both. This is an inherent potential issue with cock rings and in extreme cases, an ER visit could be necessary to avoid injury and/or priapism (the inability to lose your erection) if the cock ring gets stuck and can't be removed.
Speaking of priapisms, the scarier side effects from cock rings such as the Durex Pleasure Ring come into play if the user fails to correctly follow directions. Even if the ring fits you perfectly, priapism is a very serious medical condition. Although it may sound like a blessing, maintaining an erection for longer than 4 hours is actually extremely dangerous. It can result in penile tissue damage, gangrene, infection, even death or worse: the need to amputate your penis! For these reasons, it is critically important that if you try out this product or any other cock ring, you follow the manufacturer's directions and remove the Durex Pleasure Ring after 30 minutes.
Does the Durex Pleasure Ring Work?
There are a lot of cock rings on the market and many claim different performance and/or pleasure improvements; the Durex Pleasure Ring is merely one of them. Also, it's a very simple design; if you haven't done any cock ring shopping before, you might be surprised to find out how many different varieties of cock rings there are. The level of cock ring customization is as varied and extensive as the human imagination. They can be made from a variety of materials, designed to be smooth or have different textures, and even have vibrating parts attached to enhance both you and your partner's sexual pleasure.
The Durex Pleasure Ring doesn't have any of these fancy options. It is a plain ring designed to help you maintain an erection for longer—limited to a maximum of 30 minutes, period. While some may appreciate this no-frills approach to enhancing their erectile capabilities, others may be disappointed by this lackluster design and the host of potential negative side effects.
But the most disappointing thing about the ring is that it only helps you maintain an erection; it doesn't necessarily prevent PE. Again, the box claims “intense pleasure for longer”, but this possibly confusing wording seems to refer more to erectile dysfunction than to the issue of premature ejaculation. At best, even if you’re willing to risk medical complications, you only get 30 minutes' worth of use from this ring. Where to Buy the Durex Pleasure Ring
Because Durex is such a popular brand, you’ll likely be able to find these at a drugstore near you. Unfortunately, that comes with the experience many men may find embarrassing: having to place it on the counter and look the cashier right in the face as they ring up your sex item. You can avoid such an experience if you don’t mind spending extra money on shipping by ordering the Durex Pleasure Ring from an online retailer.
