What is K-Y Duration Spray?

K-Y Duration Spray is one product among a vast line of sexual enhancers for men and women, by the well-known brand K-Y. They are most well known for their sexual lubricants, but the K-Y Duration Spray is not designed to be a lubricant; it is intended only to numb the physical sensations felt by the penis in order to prolong your sexual experience.

My Experience

My first time using K-Y Duration Spray was a bit messy, you could say. I couldn't figure out how to aim the spray nozzle at first. This resulted in getting the product on my fingers, which felt weird. Some of it even landed on my balls, which felt (or, rather, didn't feel) really bizarre.

Eventually, I worked out how to spray and aim it correctly. However, I then realized that the bottle has a maximum of about 36 sprays and the ideal dose for one session seemed to be 7 sprays. That means about 5 uses per bottle, and at a cost of $30 per bottle, that’s about $6 per use. Certainly not the best or most cost-effective PE solution out there! Thankfully, I have found much better and more economical products, which you can see in my Top 10 below.

In addition, while it most certainly did numb my penis, resulting in helping me delay climax, it just took away the sensation and I really did not enjoy it. I lost a lot of the pleasure I usually feel during sex, so that really weakened the experience for me.

K-Y Duration Spray Side Effects

The main ingredient in K-Y Duration Spray is lidocaine (this is the stuff your dentist numbs your mouth with). As you may know from experience, dentists usually ask about allergies before doing a procedure because topical anesthetics in the "-caine" family are known for causing allergic reactions in a significant percentage of the population. If you are one of the people unfortunately plagued by this allergy, you may experience the following from using K-Y Duration Spray:

• Skin rash
• Itching
• Hives
• Swelling of the face, lips, or tongue
• Breathing problems
• Dizziness or drowsiness
• Fast or slow heartbeat
• Headache
• Increased sweating
• Restlessness
• Anxiety
• Seizures
• Tremors

The other most common and likely side effect is, of course, excessive desensitization. Not only does this dull your pleasure, it can even cause you to lose your erection, ruining both your partner’s and your sexual experience.

Because K-Y sexual enhancement products are so popular, you might be able to find K-Y Duration Spray on the shelf of your local drug store. If you prefer a more discreet shopping experience, you can buy from the manufacturer’s website, but you will end up paying $30 per 0.16 fl. oz, plus shipping which starts at $7.50. Does K-Y Duration Spray Work?

K-Y Duration Spray might have the potential to work, in that it does technically help prevent premature climax. However, it comes at the cost of degrading your sexual experience. This, paired with the expensive aspect makes me hesitant to want to use it again. On the one hand, I did have some success with it after several trial-and-error attempts. On the other hand, it is extremely expensive for the amount of product it takes in order to be effective. For some men, there may be fewer than 5 uses per container of K-Y Duration Spray.
