Priligy for Premature Ejaculation Review

Priligy Overview

Dapoxetine, commercially marketed under the name Priligy, is an SSRI drug prescribed for premature ejaculation. Some claim it to be fairly effective at delaying climax, but as all SSRI’s do, it often comes with unwanted side effects. Priligy is yet to be approved by the FDA, and as such is not available in the United States. It is also not licensed in the UK so many doctors will be hesitant to prescribe it because they take on liability when prescribing unlicensed medications.

What is Priligy?

Priligy is a prescription selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). This type of drug is typically used to treat depression and anxiety. It works by raising serotonin levels in the brain, improving mood and balancing emotion. This helps in the case of PE, in that anxiety is often the primary cause of premature climax. Elevated mood and an overall sense of calmness help prevent stress and anxiety from interfering with your sexual performance.

My Experience

I actually was able to get my hands on some of this stuff while I was in Europe, with my girlfriend at the time. I took it consistently every night. Overall, I was initially impressed with the performance of Priligy. I did find that I was able to last longer so it seemed very promising. However, I began to understand that the drug has serious drawbacks... Because I’m so determined to understand which PE products work and how they work, I had to start doing more research when I experienced its effectiveness. As I looked more into it, I learned in-depth how SSRI’s work and what harm they can do to your brain chemistry and mental functions. They are known to often cause more harm than good. Funny enough, lowered sex drive is actually a common side effects of SSRIs, along with diminished sexual performance and satisfaction. As far as Priligy goes, you just gotta love a medication where the thing it’s supposed to be treating is also a side effects, right? I decided to cautiously continue use for the remainder of my trial. Ultimately, I did start to notice a loss in motivation for sex, but not completely. It may have gotten worse if I hadn’t stopped taking it, though, but I can’t be sure. Ultimately, I couldn’t take the stuff back home to the States with me on a plane anyway, so that was that.

Priligy Side Effects

Since Priligy is still undergoing the FDA approval process, its specific side effects are still largely unknown. An inherent risk comes with taking new drugs like this, since even rigorous clinical trials often fail to pick up on certain side effects.

However, side effects are generally the same among SSRI’s. Most common are nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, diarrhea, and insomnia. However, one may also experience fatigue, lethargy, brain fog, teeth clenching, dizziness and tremors. In extreme cases, SSRI’s could have a paradoxical effect, leading to mania and/or thoughts of suicide.

Unfortunately, as noted above in my experience, SSRI’s frequently come with unwanted sexual side effects as well. These include loss of libido and erectile dysfunction. Therefore Priligy could end up being counter-effective on those looking to improve sexual function.

It is not known what effects could come of long-term use.

Does Priligy Work?

Some people report having success with Priligy, but there isn't a whole lot of user study data or knowledge about it to really determine its effectiveness. Although men who are dealing with premature ejaculation are generally eager to try anything to fix their problem, it is important to note that Priligy has been undergoing FDA testing since 2004. In my opinion, the fact that it is still not approved here and still unlicensed in the UK raises some red flags. The potential risks may outweigh the benefits. Bottom line: I don’t think it’s worth it when you can get a natural PE solution without a prescription or embarrassing visit to the doctor and pharmacy.

I highly recommend my readers take a look at Climaxagen, which has a simple 2-step system available, including a topical cream and tablets that have natural ingredients which work very similarly to Dapoxetine and provide the same effect as Priligy, without a prescription and without any side effects in my personal experience. With that in mind, I see no point in risking your health with unpredictable synthetic drugs.

Where to Buy Priligy

You might be interested in giving Priligy a try based on its promising results, but you will find that getting it is not easy. The only safe way to obtain this drug is with a prescription and unfortunately, it’s still not available in the United States and Canada, as it is not yet approved by either country’s government. And as stated earlier, it’s unlicensed in the UK, which means even if you ask a doctor to prescribe it to you, they have to take responsibility for any side effects or negative outcomes of its use.

I also want to give all my readers a warning about trying to order Priligy or Dapoxetine online. It has come to my attention that there are a lot of online pharmacies that appear to sell Priligy without a prescription, claiming their site and their products are safe, guaranteed, “FDA-approved”, and all sorts of other things. Online pharmacies are inherently risky to use as many of them are known to be scams. You really can’t help but immediately lose trust in any claims from a site that is selling a product which is illegal to sell.

Furthermore, the FDA warns against websites that display “fake licenses and certifications to convince U.S. consumers to purchase drugs they advertised as ‘brand name’ and ‘FDA approved.” These drugs are more often than not, knockoffs, and are NOT proven safe for human consumption. I actually have gotten emails from some of my readers who took the plunge, saying they should have taken my advice because they got scammed with bogus pills or no product sent to them at all!

As you can tell, there are a lot of risks involved in going this route and I personally don’t think it’s all worth it, especially considering there are actually great premature ejaculation solutions available that are all-natural, legal, and proven to be safe.
